The Home Builders Institute (HBI) is seeking a qualified and motivated Plumbing Instructor for our Denison, IA location. The selected candidate will deliver both hands-on training and classroom instruction, emphasizing proper technique, safety, and attention to detailessential skills for success in the skilled trades.

• Plumbing Instructor (Req. 1626)

Key Responsibilities

• Instruct program participants in plumbing trade skills using an approved curriculum
• Develop and support curriculum materials as needed
• Coordinate hands-on training activities, including on-site and community-based projects
• Demonstrate proper use of tools and equipment with a strong focus on safety
• Monitor, coach, and mentor trainees throughout the program
• Recommend qualified students for job placement opportunities
• Maintain strong oral and written communication with participants and staff

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to meet Career Technical Training (CTT) requirements
• Combination of work experience, education, and/or skills equivalent to journey-level experience in plumbing
• Strong communication and instructional skills preferred
