Position Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Data Entry Assistant to support a Human Resources project involving the review, organization, and entry of information into company databases and systems. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain administrative experience and an opportunity to learn HR processes. No prior data entry experience is required; training will be provided. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, and capable of maintaining accuracy while working with large volumes of information.
Essential Functions
* Enter, update, and verify data in company databases, spreadsheets, and record systems.
* Review HR documents for completeness and accuracy.
* Assist with digitizing, organizing, and maintaining employee records.
* Verify data and identify discrepancies or missing information.
* Support HR file audits and data cleanup projects.
* Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
* Follow established HR policies, procedures, and recordkeeping standards.
* Assist with additional administrative tasks as assigned by the HR team.
Critical Competencies
Required
* Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
* Good organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Preferred
* Experience with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or data management systems (helpful but not required).
* Previous administrative, clerical, or customer service experience (not required).
This position is located 100% onsite at the Black Mountain, NC facility. Relocation assistance is not available.
