Overview

Allspring is seeking an on-site Atlassian Engineer to provide strategic and tactical leadership for our Atlassian suite of products. The Atlassian Engineer will leverage Atlassian best practices to deliver a cohesive, effective, and consistent use of the Atlassian suite across the firm, working with peers across the Allspring Engineering & Technology function and other Enterprise stakeholders. Our goal is to create transparency into the usage of our assets and resources and enable reporting, analytics, and great management decisions.

We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 4 days per week.

Responsibilities

    Create and manage a strategic vision of the use the Atlassian suite, particularly JSM, JIRA and Confluence. Present and lead tactical initiatives to achieve strategic vision, integrating with other enterprise systems (such as CoPilot, Datadog, Power BI, Box, etc.).
  • Own Atlassian Cloud administration, including identity and access management, security policies, audit logging, data classification, and compliance controls. Where applicable, ensure the platform adheres to Allspring policy (e.g., ensuring all production changes are appropriately documented, tested, and validated through the Change Management process) and deliver evidence of compliance in a timely manner.
  • Define and document services delivered using the Atlassian suite (e.g. incident management, project management, workflow automation, knowledge management, change management etc.). Advocate for, design and deliver new services using the Atlassian suite.
  • Establish and enforce best practices, governance standards, and processes for the use of the Atlassian suite that meet Allspring's needs and align with ITSM/ITIL principles.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and configure the Atlassian suite - including building automated workflows, creating forms and portals, building reports and dashboards, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Manage the Atlassian suite queue. Ensure incidents are resolved and service requests filled according to SLAs.
  • Manage platform budgets, licensing, and subscription tiers.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years' experience implementing and managing across the Atlassian suite.
  • 2+ years' leading the use of Jira, Confluence and/or JSM across small to medium sized companies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Capacity to prioritize, complete, and resolve issues in a fast-paced setting.
  • Must have either Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) certification in JSM Administration, Jira Administration, or Confluence Administration.
  • ITIL Foundation certification
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Remain in stationary position for prolonged periods of time
  • Operate computer programs and software
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences in person and in electronic formats
  • Day-to-day contact with others (co-workers and/or public)
  • Ability to work in a collaborative business environment in close quarters with peers and varying interruptions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years' engineering experience with Jira Service Management.
  • 2+ years' engineering experience with Jira.
  • 2+ years' engineering experience with Confluence.
  • Atlassian Cloud Organization Admin
  • Jira Administration for Cloud
  • Managing Jira Projects for Cloud
  • Managing Jira Service Projects for Cloud
  • Confluence Administration for Cloud
  • ITIL Specialist or Strategist certification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Compensation

Base Pay Range: $125,000 - $150,000

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary bonus programs, or other annual or non-annual incentive or sales plans.)
