Senior Marketing and Communication Specialist Role:

The Senior Marketing & Communications Specialist is a strategic, high-impact role responsible for advancing the bank's brand, voice, and market presence across all channels. This position requires deep expertise in bank marketing, content development, digital strategy, and design execution. This individual will help lead integrated marketing efforts, including social media strategy, content creation, internal communications, and advertising, while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and the bank's brand standards.

The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of creative vision and analytical discipline, with the ability to translate complex financial products and initiatives into compelling, compliant, and customer-centric messaging. This role partners closely with the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer and business unit leaders to deliver measurable results to support growth, engagement, and reputation management.

Strategic Marketing Execution
Lead the execution of integrated monthly marketing plans across retail, commercial, business, and wealth management lines of business. Partner with the Chief Marketing Officer and internal stakeholders to develop and deploy multi-channel campaigns (digital, press releases, print, social, in-app, and in-branch) to drive awareness, engagement, and measurable growth for the bank. Track performance and optimize campaigns based on KPI insights.

Marketing Operations & Compliance
Maintain comprehensive documentation of all marketing and communications activities to support regulatory compliance and audit readiness. Ensure all advertising, digital marketing, social media, and public-facing content adheres to applicable banking regulations, including truth-in-advertising standards and brand governance.

Website Management

Manage and maintain the Bank's website content and structure to ensure all information is accurate, current, and aligned with brand standards, business priorities, and customer needs.

Content & Social Media Leadership
Manage the planning and execution of content creation, both in-house and with vendors, to develop high-quality, strategic marketing and social media content and campaigns that elevate brand storytelling, increase engagement, and maximize return on investment. Ensure consistency in voice, tone, and visual identity across platforms.

Internal & External Communications
Lead content creation and distribution across internal (SharePoint, employee communications) and external channels (social media, website, email marketing). Develop compelling written content, including articles, newsletters, scripts, and campaign messaging.

Creative Development & Marketing Support
Oversee the development and execution of marketing collateral, both those developed in-house and with design vendors, including advertisements, email campaigns, videos, and promotional materials. Act as a quality control checkpoint to ensure all deliverables meet brand standards, compliance requirements, and design excellence. Coordinate marketing requests through internal systems for approvals, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with strategic objectives.

Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of regulations and bank procedures, especially those concerning advertising and publicity, in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and other legal requirements.

Senior Marketing and Communication Specialist Knowledge and Skills:

Experience

3-5+ years of progressive experience in marketing and communications, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.

Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns and translate complex financial concepts into clear, engaging content.

Demonstrated success managing social media strategy, search engine optimization efforts, content development, public relations efforts, and performance analytics.

Education

A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

Interpersonal Skills

Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Strong business acumen with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

Professional presence with the ability to represent the bank in public and community settings.

Other Skills

Advanced proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including Hootsuite, social media management, email marketing, and analytics.

Strong design capabilities with experience in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) Canva, and/or equivalent tools.

Experience with Google Analytics, WordPress, SharePoint, Siteimprove, and content management systems.

Working knowledge of SEO, campaign tracking, ROI measurement, and digital optimization strategies.

Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail and brand voice consistency.

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational discipline.

Must have the physical capability to handle event logistics, which includes the lifting and transporting of promotional materials.
