Job Summary:
This position is in the Center for Quantitative Cell Imaging (CQCI) and is responsible for all operational aspects of the CQCI 3D Cell Electron Microscopy Core Facility. Some technical duties include: training new users, providing technical consultations about the use of the facility to answer research questions, operating the instruments for users, preparing samples for users, maintaining the equipment, performing outreach on behalf of the facility, and recruiting additional facility users. This position is also responsible for managing business aspects of the facility including ongoing development of the Core's business plan and its implementation. Key Job Responsibilities:
Center for Quantitative Cell Imaging Compensation:Minimum starting annual salary rate of $70,000 Required Qualifications: Qualified applicants must have a minimum of one year of experience in Electron Microscopy. Preferred Qualifications: M.S. or Ph.D in a biological discipline. Experience in a core/service facility and/or with EM of biological samples. Experience using/processing samples with a high-pressure freezer a plus.
