Essential Accountabilities:



  • Provides guidance to QA lab technicians.
  • Continuous commitment to Safety and Process Based Leadership.
  • Works as a backup laboratory technician in microbiology and chemistry.
  • Supports validation of analytical and microbiological test methods.
  • Supports plant project work.
  • Performs and documents alert and action limit investigations.
  • Manages incoming raw material receipt and testing.
  • Supports and helps manage environmental monitoring program.
  • Maintains and Troubleshoots standard laboratory Calibration and verification process of laboratory equipment. Microscopes, Celsis Advance system, UV Vis, Analytical Autotitrator, FTIR, TOC analyzer, Hoods, pH meter, Conductivity meter, Incubators, Autoclave, Pipettors, Gas Chromatograph, Centrifuge and Labware.
  • Properly documents and communicates findings and results to senior management utilizing Excel, Agile or Infiniti systems.
  • Creates and revises procedures, work instructions, and forms as needed.
  • Maintains and monitors chemical hygiene plan.
  • Ensures that the laboratories are always tour ready.
  • Trains personnel on laboratory functions.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential accountabilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.)



    • High School Diploma/GED required.
    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a lab environment (or equivalent combination of education/experience) with 2 years as a Tech II preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and analytical Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Previous experience with electronic database systems utilizing QA release of Finished Product functions preferred.
    • Proficiency in ERP systems with the ability to complete QA functions in the system preferred.

    • Must be able to communicate face-to-face and over the phone.
    • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
    • Frequent standing/walking. Occasional sitting, bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling and reaching.
    • Repetitive hand and foot movement.
    • Work environment includes occasional noise >85db, hot and cold temperatures.
    • Requires ability to reach, write, calculate, and analyze.
    • Requires good visual acuity with depth perception and color vision.
