We are supporting a federal client focused on strengthening data protection and governance across critical systems. This role plays a key part in ensuring sensitive data is properly classified, managed, and secured using Microsoft Purview. Responsibilities * Support implementation of Microsoft Purview Information Protection solutions * Analyze and improve data governance and protection processes * Gather requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to design solutions * Assist with data classification, mapping, and compliance initiatives * Provide technical input during project delivery and change requests * Participate in client and internal discussions to guide decisions Must Have * 2 to 5 years of Microsoft Purview or Azure Purview experience * Background in data governance and data analysis * Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder communication skills * Security+ certification * US Citizenship and ability to pass a high-risk Public Trust * Ability to work onsite in DMV area 2 to 3 days per week Nice to Have * Data mapping or data architecture experience * Agile environment experience * Experience supporting federal clients Team and Environment This is a small, highly collaborative 3-person team working in a hybrid environment. The role offers direct exposure to federal data governance initiatives and emerging cybersecurity efforts. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, DC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $46.25 - $48.07/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
