Overview

Position Classification Specialist will provide advisory and consultative services to supervisors and managers regarding Federal position classification and position management.

Note** This position is being recruited in support of potential future contract awards, and qualified candidates may be considered for upcoming opportunities supporting federal government clients.



Responsibilities

    Demonstrated knowledge and expertise with Federal position classification duties
  • Develop position descriptions, reviewing existing position descriptions for accuracy, equity, and recertification
  • Determine the appropriate position title, occupational series, and grade
  • Develop evaluation statements and narrative justifications to support classification determinations
  • Analyze classification actions to ensure they are compliant with Office of Personnel Management (OPM) classification standards, guides, and regulations.
  • Experience determining bargaining unit status codes, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and preparing OPM OF-8 form and other relevant PD attachments.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience providing advisory and consultative services to supervisors and
    managers regarding federal position classification and position management.
  • Public Trust Clearance
  • OPM experience and knowledge
  • PD Library
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with staff and the public as well as be persuasive when defending position determinations.
