Position Summary

As a Shipping & Receiving Team Lead you will be responsible for supporting shipping, receiving and warehouse functions to handle medical devices in an FDA regulated and controlled environment. Provides support to Supervisor and department employees to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements.

Shift: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday

What you will do as a Shipping & Receiving Team Lead

Manage and assign daily work schedule and job duties to employees

Assist supervisor with SQDC Board Updates, 5S Audits, Idea Board, and SQDC Board presentation

Operate equipment, such as forklift, electric and manual pallet jacks, and stretch wrapper for material handling and loading/unloading of trucks

Effectively train employees on standard work and operating procedures within the department

Maintain strong lines of communication with all applicable personnel across all shifts

Adhere to, and reinforce compliance with work instructions, quality procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment

Confer and correspond with supervisor to resolve problems, such as missing paperwork, damages, shortages, and nonconformance to procedures and policy

Perform all duties related to the shipping/receiving functions, including but not limited to, loading/unloading trucks, moving and storing items according to delivery or routing documents

Comply with all safety, security, shop practice requirements, promote and provide a safe working environment

Perform other duties as assigned

The Experience, Skills and Abilities

Required:

GED/High School Diploma
Shipping and receiving or material handling experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
Operating a forklift or a powered pallet jack
Must have ability to work from verbal/written instructions and effectively execute from those instructions.

Other:

Warehouse Management System
Individual must be able to adapt to change and be flexible to meet reasonable objectives.
Position requires lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, standing, sitting, and hand/finger dexterity.
Ability to work individually or in a team environment.
Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of facility staff.
Basic arithmetic skills, the ability to read and understand procedures and documents, the ability to record and verify data.
Quality. Must have a high attention to detail and quality standards.
Must be able to execute a high level of quality consistently.
Frequently suggest continuous improvement ideas for process improvements.
Self-motivated. Must be able to seek out identify additional tasks that need to be completed
Teamwork. Must be able to adapt well to different personalities and have an effective working relationship with different teams.
Must be able to effectively sort and organize e-mail and respond to any requests promptly and accurately

Pay range for this opportunity is$21.45-$27.76. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
