About the Opportunity:
The CNC Programmer/Operator plays a key role in our Manufacturing organization by supporting the production of precision components used in worldclass training systems for the U.S. military and allied partners. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment to meet engineering, quality, and schedule requirements while adhering to the commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
What You'll Do:
  • Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using approved CAM software to support production and prototype machining needs.
  • Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and associated equipment to manufacture components in accordance with engineering drawings, models, and specifications.
  • Review and interpret technical documentation-including blueprints, 3D CAD data, process instructions, and GD&T requirements-to determine the correct machining approach.
  • Select appropriate tooling, work holding, and machining parameters to ensure repeatability, accuracy, and manufacturability across multiple materials.
  • Perform peer review checks using approved metrology tools and quality processes.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve machining or programming issues to ensure compliance with technical requirements and production schedules.
  • Document setups, program revisions, and process notes in accordance with configuration control and manufacturing documentation standards.
  • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Program teams to ensure on-time delivery and alignment to program objectives.
  • Support safety culture, workplace organization standards, and continuous improvement initiatives including Lean and 5S activities.

Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of CNC programming and/or CNC machine operation in a production environment
What Sets You Apart:
  • Proficiency in G-code programming and CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of machining fundamentals, blueprint reading, and GD&T per ASME standards.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment supporting aerospace, defense, or other high reliability industries preferred.
  • Postsecondary technical certificate or apprenticeship strongly preferred.
