Overview
This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office. NY First Citizens Commercial Real Estate originates and underwrites senior secured real estate transactions. With deep market expertise, underwriting experience and industry relationships, the unit provides financing for single properties, property portfolios and loan portfolios. Vice President / Director-level Portfolio Manager specializing in Commercial Real Estate lending with expertise in senior debt, construction, bridge, industrial, and retail lending. Proven ability to manage complex loan portfolios through comprehensive credit underwriting, portfolio surveillance, risk rating assessments, covenant compliance monitoring, and portfolio reviews. Skilled in negotiating loan amendments, waivers, and restructurings, while partnering closely with Relationship Managers, Credit, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure effective portfolio management and timely transaction execution. Strong track record of analyzing property performance, managing construction loan oversight, supporting regulatory and audit requirements, mentoring junior team members, and identifying emerging credit risks to maintain portfolio quality and performance. Qualifications VP Level: Required: Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Credit Analysis, Credit Underwriting or Management OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Credit Analysis, Credit Underwriting or Management. Preferred:
The base pay for this position is generally between $135,000.00 and $175,000.00. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment. Director Level Required: Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Credit Analysis, Credit Underwriting or Management OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Credit Analysis, Credit Underwriting or Management Preferred:
The base pay for this position is generally between $175,000.00 and $220,000.00. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
