Summary: In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor and project leader supporting client organizations in the Medical Capital Equipment domain. You will lead complex consulting engagements by leveraging market insights, analytics, technology platforms, and industry expertise to develop strategic capital equipment plans that improve decision-making and deliver measurable value. You will collaborate with executive client leaders, guide project teams, and contribute to thought leadership that advances healthcare capital planning and operational excellence. Responsibilities:
Lead complex, cross-functional consulting engagements supporting strategic capital equipment planning while managing project scope, budgets, timelines, resources, and deliverables. Analyze market insights, utilization trends, and capital equipment data to develop strategic recommendations that drive executive decision-making. Present findings, recommendations, and business cases to executive client audiences, including CFOs, COOs, service line leaders, and clinical leadership. Facilitate executive-level meetings and workshops that align stakeholders, build consensus, and advance strategic initiatives. Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client leaders by serving as a strategic advisor on medical capital equipment planning and investment strategies. Mentor and develop consulting team members through coaching, knowledge sharing, consulting methodologies, and client engagement. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), project governance, quality standards, and risk management practices to ensure successful client outcomes. Drive continuous improvement by developing consulting methodologies, best practices, and tools that enhance delivery consistency, operational efficiency, and client experience. Lead organizational change management efforts by helping clients navigate transformation, build stakeholder alignment, and achieve sustainable adoption of strategic recommendations. Support business development by identifying growth opportunities and contributing to proposal development, marketing initiatives, and sales pursuits. Partner with internal and external subject matter experts to develop thought leadership, evaluate emerging industry trends, and enhance consulting methodologies and client solutions. Collaborate with organizational leadership to define strategic priorities, allocate resources, and leverage healthcare industry expertise to deliver measurable client value.
Qualifications:
Relevant degree preferred. 7 or more years of relevant experience required. Experience in Medical Capital Equipment required. Demonstrated ability to independently lead large, complex consulting projects. Strong project management, strategic planning, and organizational skills. Clinical and data analytics experience within the healthcare industry strongly preferred. Knowledge of healthcare capital purchasing decisions and capital planning processes preferred. Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and executive-level communication skills. Proven ability to build trusted client relationships and influence senior leaders. Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients' needs and timetables.
Estimated Hiring Range: At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $117,600.00 to $206,000.00.
