The Facilities Specialist is responsible for ensuring a safe, compliant, and efficient working environment at the assigned Smith+Nephew facility. Reporting to the Sr. Facilities Manager, this role serves as the primary on-site point of contact for facilities operations and vendor coordination, supporting daily workplace needs while maintaining compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. What will you be doing?
Act as the primary Facilities contact for the site, managing day-to-day facility operations and addressing employee needs Partner with the local landlord to ensure all services are delivered in accordance with lease agreements and Smith+Nephew standards Coordinate and manage internal "soft services" (e.g., reception/front-of-house, hospitality, office services) not covered under lease agreements Collaborate closely with the HSE team to ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and regulations Support implementation and adherence to company SOPs and facilities guidelines Monitor facility conditions and proactively address maintenance, service, or safety-related issues Manage vendor relationships and service providers to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and service delivery expectations are met Assist with audits, inspections, and compliance reporting activities Support emergency preparedness and response protocols at the site Maintain accurate records related to facilities operations, services, and compliance activities
What you need to be successful?
Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Hospitality, or related field 3+ years of relevant experience in facilities, office management, corporate services, hospitality, or a similar environment Experience working in a corporate office or multi-tenant environment strongly preferred
