Position Summary: The Grant Development Manager is responsible for leading NewView Oklahoma's grant development efforts from prospect identification through proposal submission, award management, compliance, and reporting. This position serves as the organization's primary grants professional and works collaboratively with leadership, program staff, finance, and external grant writers to secure and steward foundation, corporate, and government funding.

The Grant Development Manager oversees the organization's grants calendar, develops compelling grant proposals, tracks grant performance, ensures timely reporting, maintains compliance with funder requirements, and helps maximize funding opportunities that advance NewView's mission.

Essential duties and responsibilities (3-5 core functions representing 80% of time spent):

Grant Development

  1. Research and identify new grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, government agencies, and other funding sources.
  2. Lead the writing, editing, and submission of competitive grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting materials.
  3. Collaborate with program leadership and finance staff to develop compelling narratives, measurable outcomes, project budgets, and evaluation plans.
  4. Manage the organization's annual grants calendar, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  5. Maintain a pipeline of prospective grant opportunities and recommend funding strategies to leadership.

Grant Management & Compliance

  1. Serve as the primary manager for all awarded grants.
  2. Track grant deliverables, reporting requirements, spending timelines, and compliance obligations.
  3. Coordinate with finance to monitor grant expenditures and ensure funds are used according to approved budgets.
  4. Prepare and submit interim and final grant reports, financial reports, and required documentation.
  5. Maintain complete grant files, award agreements, and supporting documentation.
  6. Monitor grant performance and communicate upcoming deadlines to internal stakeholders.

Data & Systems Management

  1. Maintain accurate grant records within HubSpot and other organizational tracking systems.
  2. Produce grant pipeline reports, funding forecasts, award summaries, and reporting schedules for leadership.
  3. Track proposal success rates, grant revenue, reporting status, and key performance indicators.

Collaboration

  1. Work closely with program staff to collect outcomes, participant stories, data, and impact metrics.
  2. Coordinate with finance regarding grant budgets, reimbursements, financial reporting, and compliance.
  3. Assist in developing annual funding priorities and grant strategies aligned with NewView's strategic plan.
  4. Maintain positive relationships with grant funders through timely communication and stewardship.
  5. Participate in department meetings and organizational initiatives.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Minimum education, experience, training, licensure, certification):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of successful grant writing and grant management experience.
  • Demonstrated history of securing foundation, corporate, or government grants.
  • Experience managing multiple grants simultaneously.
  • Experience preparing grant budgets and financial reports.
  • Excellent professional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with CRM or grant management software (HubSpot preferred).

Physical Requirements:

  • Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. NOTE: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.
