Your role
As our Shipping Administrator, you'll play a key role in keeping our post-shipment processes running smoothly and ensuring our customers are well taken care of! You'll be the go-to person for managing the export shipping process for our customer orders, and your support will be vital in handling transport claims to help recover lost or damaged goods. Plus, you'll assist with customs clearance activities and regularly audit our brokers to make sure they're following our standard operating procedures. You'll be working from our friendly South Charlotte office with a flexible hybrid schedule-three days in the office and two days from the comfort of your home. You'll be part of a great team of five other transportation professionals, all working together to make our shipping process seamless!
* Create required export documents for international orders as needed including but not limited to SLIs, Certificate of Conformance, Certificate of Origin * Work with suppliers and purchasing department to obtain annual USMCA certificates for import and exports * Resolve request/tickets from internal and external customers and stakeholders inquiring about shipments status and clearance thereof * Reroute shipments with LTL and small parcel carriers as needed/upon the request of our customers * Schedule return pickups with LTL/parcel carriers on parts being returned * Work with LTL carriers and customers on shipments needing more information to complete delivery or OS&D issues needing to be resolved * Coordinate freight claims on LTL and Parcel shipments with carriers, forwarders and insurance providers; Provide monthly updates on established claim KPIs to key stakeholders * Document workflows and update existing working instructions as needed * Resolve requests from our customs brokers by providing necessary information to expedite customs clearance * Provide daily, weekly, monthly reporting on established KPIs and liaison between external parties to gather needed information for uploading within Power BI, and/or other tools as needed * Act as a back up to support other team members when needed * Perform other duties as assigned To succeed, you will need 1-2 years' experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain a plus * Familiarity with import/export processes and incoterms a plus * Proficiency in Microsoft office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint * Experience with SAP S/4 Hana or other similar ERP system a plus * Existing knowledge of US customs procedures & regulations a plus Education * Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field (or equivalent work experience) Skills Well organized, detail oriented, and able to work independently to drive business results * Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed * High energy level and ability to handle multiple tasks or projects in a fast-paced environment * Ability to quickly learn new processes and systems & suggest/implement improvement opportunities In return, we offer
