Job Description

About The Position

The Ameren Early Career Rotation Program is a development opportunity for recent college graduates to experience different aspects of Ameren business through 3-to-6-month rotational assignments. Successful completion of an Ameren Internship or Co-op program within the last two years with a graduation date of no more than seven months prior to June 2026 preferred. The assignments are designed to develop a strong foundation of technical skills, business acumen and gain valuable work experience within various areas of a large energy company.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participate in the creation and execution of increasingly complex initiatives/projects

  • Support the development of projects within multiple strategic business areas

  • Conduct research that can be utilized in key business projects

  • Participate in continuous learning activities that encourage personal and professional growth

  • Develop networks within the organization which will further career advancement

  • Commit to gaining a deep knowledge of the energy industry

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Civil, Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, Nuclear, etc.) from an accredited college or university required. Successful completion of an Ameren Internship or Co-op program within the last two years and a graduation date no more than seven months prior to June 2026 preferred. Demonstration of strong performance during Ameren Internship or Co-op as measured by supervisor assessment. One year of professional-level engineering experience preferred; directly relevant internship experience will be considered.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Proven analytical skills, able to solve complex problems and successfully manage ambiguity and unexpected change. Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work effectively as a team and with various stakeholders throughout the organization. Self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Possesses a high level of organization skills. Teachable, and embraces feedback as a means of continuous improvement. Understands the important of taking risks and embraces innovation. Motivated, with the demonstrated ability to influence and lead.

Additional Information

Ameren's selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.

Compensation:

We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the salary offered.

$60,600.00 - $108,000.00 If end date is listed, the posting will come down at 12:00 am on that date:Monday July 27, 2026
