Job Summary

The Quality Control Inspectoris responsible for ensuring that manufacturing, processing, packaging, and holding activities for pharmaceutical products and medical devices comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), applicable regulatory requirements, and established quality standards. This role supports quality assurance through inspections, analytical testing, documentation, and monitoring activities to help ensure the production of safe, effective, and high-quality products. Depending on business needs, the position may support incoming inspections, in-process quality activities, or analytical laboratory operations.

Job Responsibilities



  • Perform area and line clearances to verify manufacturing readiness.
  • Conduct in-process inspections of manufacturing operations and inspect incoming materials.
  • Monitor manufacturing and warehouse activities for compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Apply and verify material quality status labels and ensure labeling accuracy.
  • Verify all labels following final printing before production use.
  • Execute quality activities according to production schedules and assist with production planning as needed.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality procedures, standards, and controls.
  • Support investigations of nonconformances and deviations and assist with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Perform quality assurance activities to ensure products meet established quality and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct chemical analysis of raw materials, in-process materials, finished products, stability samples, validation samples, and research and development samples, as assigned.
  • Collect, handle, document, and maintain laboratory materials, reagents, standards, and sample containers.
  • Perform calibration and preventive maintenance of laboratory instruments and analytical equipment.
  • Review analytical data and the work of other laboratory personnel, as assigned.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness and complete required documentation, including work orders and hold notifications.
  • Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • Associate's degree in a technical or scientific field required.
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing, pharmaceutical, medical device, laboratory, or quality environment preferred.
  • Quality certification such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or equivalent preferred.
  • Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), OSHA, EPA, FDA regulations, and quality system requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and inspection equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively while effectively communicating with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to enforce quality standards, policies, and procedures in a professional manner.


Education



  • Associate's degree in a technical or scientific field required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field preferred.
