Job Summary

The Legal Administrative Assistant / Discovery Support provides administrative and discovery-related support in a legal office environment. This role is responsible for maintaining databases, processing discovery materials, supporting litigation and case management activities, and ensuring accurate recordkeeping. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities while meeting established deadlines in a fast-paced office setting.

Job Responsibilities



  • Create, maintain, and update databases used for legal and discovery support.
  • Date stamp, format, and organize discovery materials using database systems.
  • Assist with discovery research and respond to discovery-related requests.
  • Maintain terminated and convicted assailant lists.
  • Update case settlement review information on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Organize, prioritize, and manage workload while meeting established deadlines independently.
  • Perform administrative, records management, database, and discovery support functions.
  • Prepare, maintain, and organize legal documentation and records.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to support document preparation, data management, and administrative tasks.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive legal information.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • Prior experience in administrative support, legal administration, discovery support, litigation support, records management, case management, or database administration preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, establish deadlines, and manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Comfortable working onsite in Buffalo, New York.


Education



  • High school diploma preferred.
