Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Control Panel Operator, Distillation

As a Control Panel Operator you will be responsible for operating control panels for automatic machines and related equipment to complete distillation process operations. This role will monitor meters, gauges, valves, temperatures, pressures, pumps and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to operation and process specifications.

  • Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
  • Takes appropriate action on incoming materials to complete distillation processes aligned with Company procedures and regulations to achieve the most efficient use of equipment
  • Monitors distillation columns, sieve, evaporator, cooling towers, boilers, air compressors and other critical systems, implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Completes testing on production samples to ensure quality and maintain wastewater permit limits; escalates issues to supervisor as needed
  • Provides direction to production team members as needed to complete loading/unloading tankers and pumping feedstock into and out of tanks; assists in training new team members
  • Ensures processing areas, walls, pipes, and floor are in clean and safe conditions
  • Maintains operating logs and equipment performance reporting to ensure the most effective use of resources
  • Provides assistance to maintenance and operates a forklift as needed
  • Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
  • Perform tests on production samples to maintain quality standards of production, sample wastewater to maintain permit limits


Education

- High school diploma or equivalent (required)


Experience

  • 2+ years of related experience (preferred)
  • Previous experience working with DCS system, pumps, hose, etc. (preferred)
