What to Expect

The NPI Manager will lead our Gigafactory New York (GFNY) NPI team's activity launching products,managing form/fit/function changes to launched programs, and developing the NPI team tocontinuously iterate and improve our change management processes. This role will also be responsiblefor leading and mentoring the Engineers and Program Managers on the team, helping them growpersonally and professionally.

GFNY is located in Buffalo, NY and is our Supercharging and Solar hub supporting our mission ofaccelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy.


What You'll Do
  • Drive all production launch and sustaining change activities for products and changes coming into the factory, targeting to meet or exceed project/program timing milestones, maintaining a "non-event launch" mentality
  • Lead the GFNY NPI team and define bespoke development plans for each member in the organization to support their professional and personal growth, including setting expectations for each member's performance
  • Ensure that NPI processes and guidelines are followed at all times and conduct regular reviews of the process, iterating to make improvements whenever required by business needs
  • Clearly communicate program roadmaps, project/program status, risks, support needs, etc. to all levels of the organization to ensure there are no gaps in understanding of status
  • Own headcount and resource planning for projects currently in progress and planned expansion activities
  • Interact, integrate, and drive results across cross-functional teams in Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Production, and Executive Leadership

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of exceptional ability managing multiple complex programs/projects simultaneously
  • Min 7 year's experience in Engineering, Program Management, and/or Manufacturing* Executive level communication skills, both verbal and written to both technical and non-technical team members
  • Thorough understanding of product validation processes, production operations, DFM, material movement, etc.
  • Clear understanding of how the manufacturing validation process runs in relation to new products (methodology, validation plans, associated KPIs)
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment with cross-functional teams
  • Outstanding problem solving skills; adverse in various problem solving methodologies

    Expected Compensation
    • Mgr Technical Programs - $169,200 - $253,800/annual salary
    + cash and stock awards + benefits for all levels

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
