What to Expect
The Process Technician performs process sustaining tasks for the manufacturing line on a variety of mechanical and chemical processes including response to out-of-control process, work on yield improvement projects, disposition of special case non-conforming materials that come from the manufacturing line, qualifying new equipment and processes that are being introduced into the manufacturing line. Perform supporting activities for Engineering and Manufacturing including 5S and Lean Manufacturing activities, yield improvement, scrap reduction, production line configuration, and safety procedures.
What You'll Do
- Provide daily coverage of production line processes to ensure smooth and effective operations, including rapid response to out-of-control processes to minimize cost and maximize productivity
- Work closely with Process Engineer(s) to develop assembly processes and author manufacturing instructions
- Document results of investigations and teardowns; work closely with Engineers to determine root cause and define acceptable rework procedures
- Report out daily on NCM activities, including scrap, rework, on hold, and new incoming failures
- Review yield and fallout data and prioritize non-conforming material according to severity and occurrence of failure modes
- Propose process and equipment changes to mitigate top failure causes
- Deep understanding of the entire production line and where each product failure mode originates
What You'll Bring
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment with hand tools and power tools; understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives
- Methodical problem-solving skills with a hands-on and proactive approach
- Strong proficiency in common workplace software (MS Word, Excel, Visio, Access, etc.)
- Strong understanding of basic mechanical and electrical concepts including electrical and functional testing (LV & HV)
- Ability to manipulate and interpret data (especially Pareto charts), create flowcharts, and author manufacturing instructions
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills across cultures and geographic regions; strong command of English language
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain
- Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
- Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install parts
- Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/day
- Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
- Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to:safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, arm protection, and adheringto prescribed safety rules and guidelines

Expected Compensation
$25.88 - $38.46/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
