Dental Assistant - IV Sedation & Oral Surgery

Lone Star Pediatric Dental & Braces is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. This role will support dental treatment in-office and will include travel to Blue Cloud Surgery Center for IV sedation and oral surgery procedures.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with pediatric dental procedures and oral surgery cases.



  • Travel with the team to Blue Cloud Surgery Center as needed.



  • Assist during IV sedation treatments and surgical procedures.



  • Prepare rooms, instruments, and supplies for treatment.



  • Follow infection control and sterilization protocols.



  • Support patient care before, during, and after procedures.



  • Provide pre-op and post-op instructions to patients and families.



  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation.



Qualifications

  • Dental assisting experience required.



  • Experience with IV sedation treatments preferred.



  • Experience with oral surgery procedures preferred.



  • Pediatric dental experience preferred.



  • CPR/BLS certification required.



  • Strong communication and patient care skills.



  • Must be comfortable working with children and families.



  • Reliable, team-oriented, and able to travel to Blue Cloud Surgery Center as needed.

Education/Credentials:


  • A minimum of a high school degree or equivalent is .
  • Radiography requirements according to the state regulations.

Job related experience:


  • Experience working in a professional, medical, or dental environment with direct customer service is desired.
  • Pediatric experience, preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills- must be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Must be customer service oriented and able to communicate with a pleasant demeanor at all times.
  • Communication - effective written and verbal communication is a must with all staff and management.
  • Must be able to project a capable and professional image- one that is reflective of Company Values.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills- strong attention to detail, be able to multitask and perform job duties in a timely manner.
  • Must have PC skills with an ability to learn and successfully use new software programs as required. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office is preferred; as well as experience with a fax machine, copy machine, and general office equipment.

Working conditions:
