Job Title: SMT Programmer/Technician
Location: Irvine CA
Employment Type: Direct hire with benefits
Compensation: $30/hr.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
Acara Solutions is seeking an experienced SMT Technician to support our client's manufacturing operations in Irvine, CA.
  • Program and maintain SMT equipment, including Fuji (Nexim/Flex), AOI systems, and reflow ovens.
  • Create and modify pick-and-place programs, component profiles, and AOI inspection programs.
  • Develop and maintain reflow oven profiles and SMT assembly documentation.
  • Maintain stencil inventory and production consumables (solder paste, adhesives, gloves, wipes).
  • Troubleshoot SMT equipment and provide technical support to production operators.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Design, and Management to support manufacturing goals.
  • Follow quality and safety standards and perform additional duties as needed.

Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3 years minimum experience programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting SMT equipment.
What Sets You Apart:
  • Hands-on experience with Fuji Nexim or Flex programming.
  • Experience with AOI programming.
  • Ability to read and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs) and assembly drawings.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 Class 3 workmanship standards.
  • Experience building or supporting manufacturing assembly fixtures.
