What You'll Do

Position Summary:
Alongside the Nursing Manager, the Lead Nurse is responsible in assisting with leading and mentoring the nursing team. The position will provide direct client care, conduct chart audits, review policies and procedures, and communicate with clients' parents, outside providers and other members of the treatment team.

Hours for this role are evenings, 2p- 1030p and evey other weekend

Essential Duties:

  • Ensure nursing policies, procedures, and services are adhered to during the shift.
  • Assist with nursing team and staffing schedules as needed.
  • Available for afterhours support and on-call assistance.
  • Ensure nurses are current in competencies, performance evaluations, licensure, certifications, and other annual training in accordance with company policy, Joint Commission, and licensing standards.
  • Provide direct patient care, including, but not limited to, assessing, planning, and evaluating patients.
  • Evaluate any medical complaint from a client during on-site hours and relay information to appropriate NP/MD.
  • Maintain accurate medication administration records (MAR) in paper or electronic medical record and ensure accurate medication counts are logged daily, verified at intake, and reconciled at discharge.
  • Communicate with care coordinators (CCs) regarding medication concerns.
  • Assist with interview process alongside the Nursing Manager.
  • Coordinate with operations staff to order any/all medical equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Makes You a Great Fit

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Licensed RN or LPN/LVN.
    * Minimum of two (2) years' experience in nursing and management preferred.
    * Experience in mental health and/or substance abuse preferred

Pay range for this position is $37 to $53 depending on education and experience.
