Advanced Plating Technologies is an industry-leading, ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 certified, ITAR-registered job shop providing engineered metal finishing solutions for demanding manufacturing industries. We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor (Electroplating) to lead our production team and oversee the daily operation of our plating lines.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring proven supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can motivate employees, drive continuous improvement, maintain quality and safety standards, and ensure production goals are achieved. Position Responsibilities:
  • Provide strong leadership and serve as a coach/mentor and cultural change agent cross the organization to ensure a quality mindset and to support robust problem solving and meeting or exceeding customer expectations and business objectives.
  • Manage daily staffing, workflow, and production schedules to meet customer and operational requirements.
  • Monitor production performance and key metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate production activities with other supervisors and support departments to maximize efficiency.
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations, provide coaching, and support employee development.
  • Enforce company safety policies, quality standards, and operating procedures.
  • Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment while supporting maintenance and housekeeping objectives.
  • Identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and improve productivity. Develops and administers the Department operating budget to provide adequate staffing to meet quality goals.
  • Performs other assigned duties to achieve the goals of the department and company
  • Ability to communicate with both internal/external customers and provide clear and concise feedback and information to same.

Position Requirements:
  • Experience supervising 10-30+ production employees in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous electroplating or metal finishing experience preferred.
  • Experience with ISO quality management systems is a plus.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
  • Strong chemistry and mathematical aptitude.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Coaching & Counseling - effectively instructs associates at all performance levels and enjoys helping team members grow, sharing authority and providing resources and support that empower. Offers clear, direct, and timely feedback.
  • Conflict Management - support and manage differences of opinion. Use consensus and collaboration to debate and resolve issues.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk upstairs, and walk distances of up to 100 meters between buildings out of doors. The employee will spend extensive time computing and talking on the telephone. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be primarily in a climate controlled, office environment. Limited time in a metal finishing manufacturing environment will be required.
