Daikin Applied is seeking aMaterials Quality Technician II. Location: Staunton, VA - In-Office

Your Responsibilities:

  • Understand and adhere to company Quality Control procedures, as related to overall inspection requirements
  • Cooperate with production personnel and supervision to ensure the maximum of production with the optimum of quality, as established by management
  • Inspect incoming, in-process, and outgoing material, parts, and assemblies to specifications and blueprints following standard shop practice and/or special instructions
  • Train other employees in day-to-day procedures
  • Utilize quality tools such as Fishbone Diagram, 3 Legged 5 Why, and 8D methodology
  • Support and participate in quality clinic activities
  • Determine controls necessary to maintain consistent quality level
  • Dispose of rejected material
  • Direct repairs and deviated corrections as required
  • Generate inspection reports and analysis

Your Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-4 years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing/operations, or related field
  • Vocational or technical degree in a related field (preferred)

The typical hourly pay for this position ranges from $23.65 to $37.68 in VA. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
