| Brief Summary of Work for this Position |
UNC's Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs is seeking a highly organized and professional Temporary Executive Assistant to support the Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Health and Wellbeing. This role serves as the principal administrative liaison and "right hand" to the
AVC, providing high-level personal and operational support in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the AVC's complex calendar, including scheduling appointments, meetings, and events, while ensuring appropriate preparation and follow-up.
- Serve as the first point of contact for the office, handling telephone, email, and in-person inquiries with discretion, professionalism and confidentiality.
- Act as a liaison between the AVC and internal and external stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, community partners, and university leadership.
- Prepare, edit, and maintain reports, correspondence, presentations, meeting materials, and confidential records.
- Support daily office operations, including room scheduling, facilities requests, and coordination with campus service departments.
- Collaborate with the Business Officer to order office supplies and catering, coordinate travel arrangements, and process related administrative requests.
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of special projects and departmental initiatives.
- Monitor and prioritize multiple assignments while exercising sound judgment and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Associate Vice Chancellor.

| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
- High school diploma or equivalency and three years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or Associate's degree in secretarial science, business administration, or a related discipline and one year of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience ; or Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
- A demonstrated possession of experience to perform the duties.
- Requires knowledge of confidentiality regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and other administrative tools
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and exercise sound judgment under pressure
