SUMMARY:

Provides a wide range of assistance to the Residential and Consumer Lending Compliance Manager. Completes HMDA data integrity reviews and other analysis related to all areas of compliance, including preparations for quarterly and annual HMDA submissions. Monitors and generates reports on compliance related findings for management. Communicates clearly and effectively, collaborating with other areas of the Bank.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  1. Independently performs in-depth HMDA data integrity reviews utilizing expertise to appropriately analyze data and make corrective action recommendations as applicable.
  2. Provides training relating to HMDA data reporting requirements.
  3. Prepares quarterly and annual HMDA data submission.
  4. Prepares and processes non-originated loans including preparation and delivery of adverse action notices.
  5. Processes Consumer non-originated loans including preparation and delivery of adverse action notices.
  6. Pipeline management to ensure timely analysis of loan file data and ensures loan file is compliant relating to multiple applicable regulations.
  7. Assists and collaborates with the Quality Control Department to identify and resolve errors.
  8. Generates monthly reports and HMDA LAR data for external QC and Compliance Reviews.
  9. Assists with both internal and external audit and exam preparation.
  10. Analyzes audit/exam findings and coordinates responses.
  11. Researches and provides responses to internal and external findings.
  12. Generate reports in response to external Compliance Reviews.
  13. Develop, comprise and tracks trending data analysis on findings and provides reports to various management for review.
  14. Performs due diligence reviews for loans being purchased for, or being sold out of, the Bank's portfolio.
  15. Performs compliance research and provides information pertaining to existing, new or proposed regulations in relation to residential and consumer lending.
  16. Participates in the Bank's Fair Lending working group.
  17. Assists in the coordination of various project-based compliance initiatives.
  18. Conducts and participates in internal compliance training as needed throughout the organization.
  19. Develops processes and procedures related to compliance functions.
  20. Communicates and collaborates effectively across business lines.
  21. Remains up to date on regulatory trends and upcoming regulations.


QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS: (Minimum education required to perform the duties of this position)



  • Associates degree or equivalent experience.
  • ABA Certification preferred.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:



  • Minimum of 5 years lending experience, preferably in Residential and Consumer Lending.
  • Prior project management experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge of data management software programs.
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex regulations is required.
  • Effective customer service skills, internal and external customers.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound business judgment.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet and manage deadlines, be adaptable and flexible in high-pressure situations.
  • Proven success working in an organization with a strong collaborative environment.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office products and the ability to quickly learn new software and applications.
  • Must have cyber security awareness to protect the digital environment, the Bank, and customers.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed; including early mornings, nights and weekends.
