Role Overview

The Senior Specialist, Facilities plays an important role in keeping our radiopharmacy locations safe, compliant, and running smoothly. In this role, you will support facility design, maintenance, and continuous improvement while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory and radiation safety standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain reliable operations that support the production and delivery of radiopharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support radiopharmacy facilities across the U.S., ensuring operational readiness for the preparation and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals

  • Provide technical oversight of building systems, including HVAC, generators, security, and related infrastructure

  • Ensure environmental controls meet USP <825> standards, State Board of Pharmacy regulations, and internal procedures (temperature, pressure, humidity, security)

  • Partner with Quality teams to support preventive and corrective maintenance programs

  • Maintain asset tracking and tagging processes in collaboration with Finance

  • Assist with capital projects, including renovations, relocations, and facility upgrades

  • Lead site restoration activities in alignment with lease obligations, building codes, and regulatory requirements

  • Ensure compliance with USP <825> Standards, NRC, DOT, OSHA, and State Board of Pharmacy regulations

  • Support audits, inspections, deviations, and CAPA activities related to facilities

  • Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials and radioactive waste in line with radiation safety protocols

  • Support site decommissioning, including equipment removal, storage, and compliant disposal

  • Support Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Radiation Safety programs, including emergency preparedness and response

  • Coordinate vendors and contractors supporting facility maintenance, ensuring compliance with operational and security requirements

  • Set up and manage vendors in line with organizational standards

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facility reliability and performance

  • Support uninterrupted radiopharmaceutical production and delivery

  • Manage expense reporting and track capital project costs

  • Create purchase requisitions and purchase orders in SAP and process invoices and receipts

  • Identify opportunities to optimize costs while maintaining compliance and safety

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5-8+ years of experience in regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environments or facility maintenance

  • Demonstrated experience with facility systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general infrastructure)

  • Working knowledge of NRC/state radiation control requirements and cleanroom standards

  • Knowledge of USP <825>, USP <797>, USP <795>, pharmacy regulations, and quality systems

  • Experience supporting cleanrooms and/or classified production environments

  • Understanding of radiation safety and radioactive waste handling

  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or equivalent preferred

  • Radiation Safety, OSHA, and/or EHS certifications preferred

  • Proficiency in SAP, Concur, Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Teams), or ability to quickly learn similar tools

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex situations

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across teams

  • Strong sense of accountability with a focus on safety, compliance, and performance
