What to Expect
As an EngineeringTechnician specializing inOptimusmanufacturingequipment, you will play a vital role in supportingmanufacturing equipment installed in the factory. Your responsibilities encompass the assemblyand sustainingof diverse form factor test fixtures, electronic enclosures, and customautomatedtesting equipment utilizedto manufactureOptimus devices. We expect candidates for this role to possess a wealth of experience, enabling them toworkindependentlyin building and sustaining manufacturing equipment.
What You'll Do
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:Perform documented reworks, upgrades, general maintenance, and conduct troubleshooting onmanufacturing equipment
- System Sustaining:Collaborate closely with the engineering team for BOM replacement components procurement, seek technical guidance from engineering on hardware revisions, and liaise with external suppliers for fabrication requirements
- Electrical SystemValidation:Utilizing electrical schematics provided by engineering, validate point-to-point wiring, component assembly, and function of manufacturing equipment prior to deployment to the manufacturing line
- HardwareAssembly:Interpret harness drawings, execute precision cuts, strips, crimps, and assembly of harnesses, facilitate the build of varying form factor test equipment
- Support:Address task requests from engineering teams promptly and effectively, these include the fabrication of jigs and fixturing to aid in vehicle production
- Documentation:Maintain clear and comprehensive records of troubleshooting and maintenance documentation on pre-existing equipment
- Time Management: Independently manage your time to successfully complete parallel assignments, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting project deadlines
What You'll Bring
- Hands-On Experience:Possesses a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working with industrial equipment, machine tools, and both hand and power tools
- Tool Proficiency: Exhibit proficiency working with general and electrician tools, and experience with fine pitch soldering
- ManufacturingEnvironment:Have experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Fixture Assembly:Prior experience with automated test fixture assembly is highly preferred
- Software Proficiency:Familiarity with Microsoft suite, SolidWorks and Altium is a plus

Expected Compensation
$30.50 - $44.84/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
