Position description

The Henrich Lab is now recruiting for an Assistant Professional Researcher. The general responsibilities of this position are to carry out research in the area of HIV reservoirs and curative strategies in the context of treated HIV disease, SARS-CoV-2 and other chronic viral infectious, and develop and implement novel analytical pipelines for multi-omic digital spatial profiling, mGNS, and proteomic analyses. Responsibilities would include writing grants, devising appropriate research strategies, designing and carrying out experiments, interpreting data, reporting the results and interpretation of the experiments to internal and external audiences, and preparing and submitting scholarly papers for peer-review. As a relatively senior member of the lab, this individual will also be expected to provide a leadership and mentoring role, particularly for the younger trainees and those whom are supervised during the course of the above work. In addition, the researcher will be expected to independently operate, troubleshoot, and analyze data from the GeoMX and Xenium DSP platforms, Olink and MSD proteomics platforms and develop novel R-based programming tools for multi-omic spatial analyses. In addition, they will be responsible for the independent operation, troubleshooting, and analysis of data from real-time quantitative PCR and RNA probe hybridization platforms and RNAscope/miFISH.

Required qualifications:

* PhD or equivalent degree in biomedical sciences or related field.

* At least 1+ years of post-doctoral training/fellowship experience.

* Experience with R programing for DEG analyses on bulk, single-cell, and GeoMX and Xenium DSP.

* Experience with RNAscope assays and interpretation.

* Experience with Olink Proteomic analyses.

* Experience with MSD proteomic platform assay design, implementation and analysis.

* Experience with BSL2* tissue culture and tissue processing.

Preferred qualifications:

* Working with HIV-1 and SARS-CoV-2-infected tissues.

* Experience in infectious disease host-response and antibody/immune response profiling.
