Quality Inspector II:
Belcan is recruiting on behalf of a leading aerospace manufacturer for an experienced Quality Inspector to support a growing Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) operation in Warren, Michigan. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned aerospace quality professional with experience performing inspections in an FAA-regulated manufacturing or repair environment.

***This position requires prior aerospace quality inspection experience. ***

- Shift: 1st Shift (Schedule: M-F: 7am-3:30pm)
- $3k Sign on Bonus

Position Summary:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring aerospace components meet customer specifications, engineering requirements, FAA regulations, and internal quality standards throughout the inspection and repair process.

This role performs incoming, in-process, final, and return-to-service inspections while working closely with manufacturing and repair personnel to ensure the highest levels of product quality and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities - As a Quality Inspector II, you will:
- Perform incoming, in-process, first article, final, and return-to-service inspections on aerospace components.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment.
- Verify repaired and maintained components meet customer specifications and applicable FAA requirements.
- Review engineering drawings, blueprints, operation sheets, repair manuals, and technical data to ensure inspection accuracy.
- Perform inspections on components involved in maintenance, repair, or alteration activities.
- Identify and document non-conforming material and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
- Verify maintenance activities are performed using current approved technical data.
- Ensure inspection and measuring equipment is properly calibrated.
- Work closely with production and maintenance personnel to resolve quality concerns.
- Maintain accurate inspection documentation and quality records.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- MINIMUM of 2+ Years of previous Quality Inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment or aerospace MRO environment.
- Experience inspecting precision-machined components.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and technical documentation.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment, including: Micrometers, Calipers, Bore gauges, Borescopes & Additional precision measuring tools.
- Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Strong mathematical aptitude and measurement skills.
- Excellent attention to detail & ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications - Candidates with the following experience are strongly preferred:
- Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operation and/or programming
- PC-DMIS software experience
- FAA Part 145 Repair Station experience
- AS9100 quality systems
- OEM turbine component repair manual experience
- First Article Inspection (FAI)
- Root cause analysis and corrective action
- Incoming inspection experience

Interview Process:
- Qualified candidates will participate in an in-person interview, which may include a hands-on skills assessment related to the position.
- Candidates are encouraged to wear steel-toe or composite-toe shoes for the interview. Safety glasses and protective toe caps will be provided if needed.

Employment Requirements - Because this position supports aerospace MRO operations:
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Candidates must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship (U.S. Passport, Real ID, or Birth Certificate) during the hiring process.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Candidates hired into MRO operations are subject to DOT/FAA drug and alcohol testing requirements, including random testing.
