Must be able to communicate and work effectively in a team environment. Must be able to follow instructions (written & verbal), safely and accurately complete assigned duties, and maintain all company standards. Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, receiving materials and products, and picking, packing, wrapping, labeling, and/or shipping products using forklift and pallet jack. Maintain receiving/shipping logs and ensure sure that incoming and outgoing products and materials are in good condition.Move materials to the production area using the FEFO standard. Assist the distribution supervisor in ensuring labor is on task, and all quality standards are met.Also, the worker maintains the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse. Workers are required to lift up to 50 pounds, walk, or stand for most of the shift.

Reports To: Distribution Supervisor

Pay: $ 25.98

Essential duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to operate a Forklift in a safe manner.

  • Report to assigned shift promptly with enough time to prepare for oncoming shift.

  • Attend daily start-up meetings.

  • Continually monitor progress against production goals and reassign labor as needed.

  • Loading and unloading of product.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Utilize Blue Yonder systems as instructed to ensure proper movement of product in FEFO order.

  • Demonstrate and promote a solution-based positive attitude in meeting goals and objectives.

  • Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained with an eye for detail.

  • Promote and ensure a safe work environment.

  • Maintain housekeeping standards with attention to detail.

Job Specific Requirements:

  • Deliver quality products and services through adherence to company standards and operating procedures.

  • Must be able to stay on task, performing essential job duties, with an elevated level of accuracy.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required

  • Must be able to read, write, basic English communication.

  • Initiative-taker; Ability to make sound decisions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems when making decisions.

  • Ability to communicate both professionally and effectively with subordinates as well as all levels of management and cross-functional team.

  • You must pass the forklift written test and driver test that is given by the company.

Education and Experience:

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:

  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing warehouse and/or distribution environment.

  • Safely operate powered industrial equipment and follow all company safety Rules & Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).

Work Environment:

This job operates in a distribution environment. The noise level in the work environment and manufacturing sites can be high.

Physical Demands:

The employee must have the ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects using arms, back, abdominal muscles, shoulders, legs, or a combination of these muscle groups to a maximum of 50 pounds.

Other Essential Elements Not Listed Above Include:

Basic math skills, Microsoft Office.

Machines/Tools Used:

Forklifts, electric and manual floor jacks, computer systems, and other department specific tools. All tools and equipment which are required to be used by the employees shall be supplied and kept under repair by the Employer at no cost to the employee. These items must be kept on the premises. Also includes manual floor jacks, computer systems, and other department specific tools.
