We are seeking a temporary Store Planner / Architectural Designer to support high-volume retail store planning and design initiatives on the owner side. This role acts as an end-to-end project owner, leading store development and rollout initiatives from initial scoping through to construction-side issue resolution. The ideal candidate thrives in a highly matrixed organization, managing multiple concurrent, low-complexity projects simultaneously while maintaining brand consistency and corporate standards. This role requires an agile professional who can adapt store layouts to varying site conditions and seamlessly transition between active projects with minimal ramp-up time.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end store design and planning processes from project scoping through construction issue resolution.
  • Prepare, revise, and maintain architectural layouts, fixture plans, and comprehensive drawing packages.
  • Update test fits and adapt standard store layouts to specific site conditions and evolving project requirements.
  • Review external consultant drawing sets for quality, completeness, and strict alignment with corporate brand standards.
  • Execute precise markups, revisions, and document coordination using Bluebeam Revu.
  • Coordinate across a matrixed internal team (including architecture, engineering, and environmental design) and external partners to efficiently resolve design challenges.
  • Track and incorporate feedback, comments, and redlines under tight, deadline-driven timelines.
  • Collaborate actively in virtual team environments, including participating on-camera during Microsoft Teams meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required (Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field preferred).
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in retail store planning, corporate rollouts, or interior planning.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on professional experience using AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple concurrent projects and maintaining replication standards across a high volume of sites.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage shifting priorities seamlessly.
  • Deep familiarity with construction documents, fixture planning, and consultant coordination workflows.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $42 to $50 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
