What You'll Do

As the Talent Acquisition Recruiter, you will be responsible for recruiting top talent for Dyno Nobel Americas through effective sourcing and selection strategy. This position is responsible for recruiting throughout Canada as well as the Great Lakes region of the United States. Fluency in English and French is required. Other duties will include:

  • Assist management with internal and external recruitment efforts, including requisition approvals, internal postings, external recruiting, interviewing, job offers, and selection of employees.
  • Ensure fair and equal employment opportunities for all candidates.
  • Conduct proactive, strategic sourcing by leveraging online tools such as LinkedIn, Indeed, etc. while delivering on key metrics.
  • Identify sources of candidates and initiate and maintain relationships with outside sources such as job boards, networking sites, and job fair sponsors.
  • Provide coaching and training to employees and management for selection, employment law, and other regulatory required programs, as determined.
  • Work with management in the creation and management of position descriptions.
  • Review resumes to match work history, education, training, job skills and salary requirements.
  • Promote Dyno Nobel as an employer of choice to potential applicants.
  • Maintain knowledge of organizational structure and job responsibility changes in all functional areas of Dyno Nobel Americas.
  • Provide recruitment administrative support in areas such as ATS, screening tools and others
  • Continuous improvement in all facets of Talent Acquisition, Recruitment and similar.

What We're Looking For:

  • 2+ years of experience in full life cycle recruitment.
  • Must be bilingual in French and English
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Management or related field preferred but not required.
  • Strong commitment to and proven track record of providing exceptional service to business stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and follow-up.
  • Proficient in using Applicant Tracking Systems and Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and training requirements
  • Strong background in strategic sourcing.
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player.
