The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and regulatory support throughout the Gulf of America (GOA) offshore organization through all phases of projects to advise and ensure compliance with government regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

*Advise offshore asset and operational teams on BSEE, BOEM, & USCG related issues

*Provides regulatory interpretation and recommendations to support operational and project decisions.

*Identifies regulatory risks and escalation needs.

*Works independently on complex permitting and agency matters.

*Serve as regulatory liaison with BSEE & BOEM

*Responsible for preparing, reviewing, and filing various permits including but not limited to Exploration Plans, Development Operations Coordination Documents, Conservation Information Documents, Downhole/Surface Commingling, Applications for Permit to Drill/Bypass/Sidetrack, Applications for Permit to Modify (Completion, Workover, Abandon), Weekly Activity Reports (WARs), End of Operations Reports (EORs), Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), Well Potential Tests (WPTs), Oil Spill Financial Responsibility (OSFR), Facility Safety System Applications (FSS), Decommissioning, Idle Iron and Future Utility requests; Oil Spill Response Plan updates; Pipeline Notifications and Reports, Corrective Action Plans, ROW Temporary Cessations, etc.

*Assist in the preparation of training presentations and documents for asset and operational teams where needed.

*Availability to assist with on-call requests, weekend/holiday rotation with team.

*Support audits, inspections, incident follow-up, and compliance actions.

Education:

Bachelor's degree (Technical Discipline preferred) or equivalent work experience.

Professional/Technical Knowledge:

*Track record of developing relationships with industry and working directly with federal regulatory agencies (preferably with BOEM and BSEE)

*Extensive knowledge of BSEE/BOEM/USCG regulations, policies, and procedures.

*Knowledge and demonstrated experience with industry standards and guidelines (ex: API, ASME, etc.)

*Working knowledge of offshore environmental requirements

*Working knowledge of HSE and Risk

Professional / Technical Qualifications/Licences/Certifications :

T2 training preferred

Experience:

Minimum ten (10) years of upstream oil and gas experience, including significant offshore regulatory, operations, drilling, completions, or project support experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

*Advanced working knowledge of regulatory processes specific to BSEE/BOEM regulatory agencies

*Advanced working knowledge of eWell and TIMS system

*Strong analytical and organization skills along with demonstrated ability to support multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced operating environment

*Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate at various levels of the organization to articulate complex regulatory/policy issues in a concise and accurate manner

*Demonstrated ability to understand complex situations, navigate the changing regulatory landscape, and proactively identify potential impacts from proposed legislation and policies

*Strong attention to detail

*Strong Teamwork skills

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills

*Comfortable with Public Speaking

*Proficient computer skills and understanding of IT systems; Strong skills in Microsoft products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Spotfire, SharePoint, etc.)
