Job Summary

The Assembler II is responsible for performing electronic assembly, repair, and inspection activities in a manufacturing environment. This role supports both internal and external customers by assembling and repairing electronic components, interpreting technical documentation, utilizing hand and test tools, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The Assembler II works collaboratively within a team environment to support continuous improvement, productivity, and operational objectives.

Job Responsibilities



  • Perform electronic assembly and repair activities, including surface mount and through-hole assembly, soldering, and de-soldering.
  • Utilize measuring equipment, test equipment, and hand tools, including air drivers, screwdrivers, wrenches, presses, and tooling fixtures.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, manufacturing drawings, and work instructions.
  • Assemble, inspect, and handle electronic components and intricate parts with precision and attention to detail.
  • Support and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, productivity, and operational performance.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Utilize basic computer systems and mathematical skills to support manufacturing activities.
  • Follow all safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work collaboratively with team members and production leadership to meet production goals and customer requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous electronics manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of hand soldering experience preferred.
  • Experience with surface mount and through-hole assembly, soldering, and de-soldering preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics, manufacturing drawings, blueprints, and work instructions preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and mathematical aptitude required.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to use measuring equipment, test equipment, and hand tools.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while performing assembly activities.
  • Continuous use of hands, arms, and shoulders, including grasping, pinching, and fine finger dexterity.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to identify components by color and visually inspect work continuously throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with continuous machine noise and exposure to solder fumes and related chemicals.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must reside within commuting distance of the work location.


Education



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
