Description
Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Supports the Technical Training and Safety Programs for the Company. Facilitates OSHA compliance program management, Operator Qualification (OQ) programs, Apprenticeship programs and Safety related policies and procedures., Accident and Injury database management and reporting. Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Highway Administration compliance, contractor safety plan management, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) programs. Consults with field operations to support understanding and compliance with the Training Program and Operator Qualification (OQ) Requirements. Audits company and contractor OQ records to ensure compliance. Responsible to assist in the facilitation of training plans and apprenticeship programs. Responsible for identifying and communicating job safety hazards to reduce operational risks for the protection of our employees, environment, and community.

| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS |
Training and Safety Specialist: ($63,860 - $79,830)
- A fundamental understanding of instructional design and delivery concepts, standards, and methods; or utility industry safety standards at a level normally acquired through the completion of a two-year degree in education, industrial safety, or a related field; and
- Two years of experience in cathodic protection, natural gas, propane, electric, safety, technical training, education, human relations, customer service, or a related field.

- Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage, or unauthorized access.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.

- Requires moderate travel (10-20%).
- Required to maintain a valid driver's license.

| JOB RESPONSIBILITIES, |
- Provides support for established health and safety programs such as respiratory protection, hearing conservation, and first aid all while ensuring OSHA compliance.
- Monitor the company's established commercial driver program ensuring compliance with DOT driver records.
- Maintains accident and injury reporting, generates reports, including annual OSHA reports.
- Provides documentation and support for various regulatory requests.
- Audits company and contractor safety and Operator Qualification records for compliance. Provides support and guidance to field operations management on compliance of the OQ Plan.
- Conducts trainings on usage and provides end-user support and operational direction for Safety & Technical Training applications.
- Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
