POSITION TITLE: Material Handler I

DIV/DEPARTMENT NAME: SED Warehouse

REPORTS TO: Manager, Warehouse

POSITION STATUS: Full-Time

WORK LOCATION: Dallas, TX (DLS)

WORK STYLE DESIGNATION: Onsite

WORK STYLE REQUIREMENT: Onsite

Expected Pay Range: $17.61 - $24.21 per hour

The pay range is for the positions hourly rate only. This position may be eligible for other compensation including incentive pay and/or allowances. Candidates will receive additional information during the interview and select process.

POSITION SUMMARY

Job Summary

Responsible for performing tasks involved in shipping, receiving, and warehousing of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Examines stock and materials for obvious defects or damage. Prepares and maintains records for the material shipping, receiving, and warehousing area. Support production department in all materials-related responsibilities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Major Responsibilities/Activities

  • Unpacking incoming items, checking goods against purchase orders or invoices, and maintaining records of goods received.
  • Sort, label, and store incoming materials, parts, and supplies in the appropriate bins or areas in accordance with company procedures and practices.
  • Pulls materials, parts, and supplies to fill orders required by manufacturing, service, and sales.
  • Prepares finished products for shipment.
  • Ship product using automated systems as well as handwritten AWB.
  • Load trucks.
  • Prepares kits, parts, and materials for assembly operations.
  • Participate in cycle counts and inventory.
  • Maintain records within SAP.
  • Maintain a clean & safe work environment.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required.

EDUCATION, LICENSES, AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent years of experience.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Four or more years of experience in shipping, receiving, stockroom or related position in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to pass a forklift certification examination.
  • Computer literate - Warehouse Management Systems, SAP, and Trakstar preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  • Hands-on shipping, receiving, and store support.
  • Forklift operation.
  • Occasional mandatory overtime may be required.
