The Parker Meggitt Simi Valley Fire, Safety, and Power Division site is a fully integrated location with product responsibility from Marketing and Engineering through Supplier Management, Program Management, and Manufacturing, ending with delivery to customers.

Parker Meggitt - Simi Valley, CA, is also a key supplier in selecting energy markets, including nuclear gas analyzers and nuclear containment vessel penetration cables. JOB DESIGNATION

The Senior Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs assigned manufacturing related equipment throughout the facility in accordance with standard procedures, internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. Performs complex skilled work across multiple-functions and operations of the preventive maintenance system.

JOB CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs maintenance, service and repairs of a complex nature on assigned equipment or systems

  • Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains existing mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic equipment, including welders, sewing machines, presses, CNCs, etc.

  • Facilitates and accurately follows detailed operational instructions and blueprints for jobs and setup operations and while conducting maintenance activities

  • Administers the preventive maintenance system and provides required reports as specified in the CMMS
  • Determines preventative maintenance requirements for new equipment and educates and trains equipment operators to perform routine maintenance
  • Maintains a safe and effective work area/environment and use appropriate personal protective and safety equipment
  • Supports the Facilities Function as needed
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations

Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field

Years Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience

Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of electromechanical and mechanical components and equipment

  • Familiar with reading and interpreting documents, schematics and blueprints
  • Proficient in recognizing and solving complex problems from established operating procedures and/or scientific methods
  • Experience in operating forklifts and other powered equipment
  • Experience in working within a team environment and able to adapt to changes in work requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to read and interpret documents, schematics and blueprints

Conditions of Employment

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $33.35/hr to $55.6/hr
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
