Business Communication Grader

The Frank Business Communication Center in the Tippie College of Business is seeking a part-time grader for the 2026-2027 academic year for the course BUS:3000 Business Communication and Professionalism. The grader will assist one of the Frank Center's full-time BUS:3000 instructors in assessing undergraduates' written and visual assignments for the course.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND SPECIFIC JOB TASKS

  Meet with BUS:3000 instructor as needed to establish grading norms and turnaround times for assessments

  
  
• 
  
  

  Read and provide constructive feedback on assignments for four sections of 28 students each

  
  
• 
  
  

  In consultation with the instructor, write feedback on and assign letter or number grades to students' work

  
  
• 
  
  

  Respond to instructor emails within 48 business hours.

  
  

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  Ability to complete quality work based on a pre-determined schedule

  Ability to meet deadlines

  Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  
  
• DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Master's degree preferred

• Experience in data visualization and slide design
• Previous teaching experience

Work Schedule

• Flexible work hours.
• Anticipated 200-250 hours of work over the course of the semester. Will vary from week to week.
• Compensation is $24/hour
