Position Overview
As a Dishwasher, you'll help keep our kitchen and dining operations clean, organized, and running efficiently. You'll assist with kitchen sanitation, equipment care, meal service, and other dining services responsibilities as assigned. You'll also have opportunities to interact with residents and families while helping ensure meals are served according to individual dietary needs and preferences. This is an active position that's well suited for someone who enjoys staying busy, working as part of a team, and taking pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do
- Assist with meal preparation and delivery according to department procedures and assigned responsibilities
- Follow residents' individual diet orders, texture and consistency modifications, and menu preferences
- Assist with meal service in dining areas according to seating charts and resident tray tickets
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment
- Clean and care for kitchen equipment and work areas
- Support the dining services team with daily kitchen and meal service needs
- Interact with residents and families in a friendly and respectful manner when appropriate
- Participate in department meetings, facility meetings, and required training
- Follow all applicable safety, sanitation, HIPAA, and compliance policies
- Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
- Follow facility dress code and identification requirements
- Follow policies regarding electronic devices and company equipment
- Support Elderwood's Mission, Vision, and Values
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Minimum 16 years of age
- Employment Certificate/Permit required for applicable individuals
- Prior customer service experience preferred
- Prior food service, hospitality, serving, restaurant, or kitchen experience desired
- ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to maintain physical stamina while performing constant activity
- Ability to work reliably and as scheduled
- This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
