Job Overview
As a Sr. Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and engineering of PCX integrated electrical/mechanical assemblies. This role combines electrical power system design with manufacturability and production optimization to deliver safe, compliant, and cost-effective products. Key responsibilities include developing and creating power and control schematics, and ensuring compliance with NEC, UL, ANSI, and IEEE standards. You will perform electrical analyses such as short-circuit and load evaluations, support equipment selection and protection schemes, and generate detailed engineering deliverables including single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, layouts, and bills of materials. In addition, you will analyze and improve manufacturing processes, workflow, equipment layout, and space utilization to enhance efficiency and product quality for integrated electrical and mechanical systems. This includes close collaboration with fabrication teams on structural design, sheet metal design, enclosure integration, and assembly processes. The role requires ownership of multiple concurrent projects, balancing technical design, production schedules, and cost considerations. You will interface regularly with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and suppliers to resolve technical issues, support production, and ensure successful project execution. A Day In The Life
