The purpose of the Global Service Specialist is to create and facilitate the development and implementation of solution-oriented consultative training of Cytek service personnel worldwide and advanced troubleshooting of Cytek product lines. These duties will require the application of engineering knowledge and skills gained through academic study and relevant experience in flow cytometry and the use of discretion and judgment based on such learning and experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct technical instrument training to the service and support team from technical onboarding to creation of roadmaps for each Field Service Engineer
  • Transfer of Knowledge from Engineering/New Product Introduction meeting to field service teams
  • Replicate in-house training to alternate locations within the US and internationally
  • Provide on-the-job training to Cytek and distributor FSEs globally
  • Perform co-travels with Cytek FSEs on a worldwide basis to evaluate individual learning plans and effectiveness of training
  • Provide remote and on-site support of FSEs and distributors globally
  • Report Manufacturing and Continuous Engineering feedback from the field
  • Manage intradepartmental communication to optimize implementation of service solutions
  • Serve as escalation point leader to coordinate internal and external teams with ongoing field investigations
  • Escalate critical product performance issues and/or customer concerns to management in a timely fashion
  • Perform co-travels with direct and distributor FSEs on a worldwide basis
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by your manager or the Company

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • 5-8 years of experience as a Lead Field Engineer in the flow cytometry industry
  • BS/MS in a related life science or engineering field
  • Experience with troubleshooting flow cytometers, including hands-on repair work
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and diplomacy skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent presentation and training skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office and cytometry software

  • Extensive travel is required (estimated 75%)
  • Valid Passport for International Travel
