About the Job

This position is part-time and will support the teaching mission of the Marketing Department in the Carlson School of Management. Courses taught could include the following at both the undergraduate and graduate levels: Principles of Marketing, Marketing Research, Buyer Behavior, Sales Management, Advertising and Promotion, Marketing Channels, Marketing Strategy, Brand Management, Marketing Management, Product and Price Policy, Digital Marketing, Marketing Intelligence, Customer Experience Management, Business Fundamentals for Marketing, Project Management, Marketing Practicum, as well as other future, new courses under development.

Courses are offered during the day as well as in the evenings. Courses may also be offered online.

Duties and responsibilities include course material preparation (i.e., syllabus, handouts, homework assignments, quizzes, exams, etc.); textbook selection, course delivery, evaluation of students, record keeping, management/supervision of teaching assistants, office hours, etc.

Qualifications

Terminal degree or master's degree plus 5 years of related industry and/or academic experience.

About the Department

The Marketing Department is located in the Carlson School of Management on the West Bank of the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.

The department provides students with knowledge, skills, and experience building critical, detail-oriented, and analytical thinking to prepare for careers in market research, advertising, sales, brand management, retail buying, consulting, and other dynamic roles. Our world-renowned professors teach undergraduate, graduate, professional, and doctoral students and conduct research to discover answers to tomorrow's marketing questions.

Pay and Benefits

This position is paid $3,200 per credit with the total payment dependent on the number of credits assigned to the Lecturer.
