Spire is seeking a Senior Recruiter to work out of the Birmingham downtown location. This position will be responsible for managing requisition workload, sourcing candidates for hard to fill positions, hiring qualified candidates and ensuring performance targets are met.



A Successful candidate must have the following to be considered:



  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a business-related field required
  • Minimum of 5 years of corporate or staffing industry recruiting required
  • Experience recruiting for senior-level leadership positions preferred
  • Experience sourcing using Boolean logic preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems required
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and multitask effectively
  • Strong understanding of OFCCP, Affirmative Action and EEO guidelines

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business leaders and HR Business Partners across Spire to understand staffing forecast, hiring needs, team dynamics, and job profiles.
  • Utilize various sourcing strategies (internet searches, employee referrals external advertisements, social media, career events, social & personal networking) to identify and select the highest qualified candidates.
  • Manage full- cycle recruiting process while collaborating with managers on hiring decisions


  • Develop competitive offers under the guidance of the compensation team, create offer letters and effectively extend offers to internal and external candidates
  • Support the Lead and Manager, Talent Acquisition in developing and executing company-wide TA strategies that align with the organization strategies.
  • Partner with the business partners and hiring managers to review and guide discussions around job descriptions as needed
  • Responsible for assisting with preparation statistical reports required by OFCCP, AAP and EEO agencies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of recruiting trends, labor laws, and legislative initiatives to ensure adherence, validity and consistency to all legal compliance requirements in all recruiting and hiring processes


  • Develop and implements solutions to ensure continuous improvement of talent acquisition work streams and processes.

Physical demands, environment and schedule

  • Work is performed in a shared, open-office environment
  • Hybrid work schedule (3 days in the office/2 days remote)
  • Occasional work during nonstandard business hours and occasional local travel
