Job Description




As a Security Officer Patrol Duty in Florence, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver's license and offers the chance to provide outstanding customer service, clear communication, and dependable support while reflecting a caring, agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven team culture.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and appropriate emergency response actions within a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and/or designated areas to help support authorized access, observe for policy violations, and report suspicious behavior or conditions.
  • Assist with security-related reporting, shift activity logs, and/or incident documentation while following client procedures and Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
