As a Supply Chain Contracts Specialist, you'll be tasked to help negotiate and structure supplier agreements that support our sourcing needs across materials, services, and equipment. You'll partner with Procurement, Legal, and other internal teams to work through contract terms, support supplier relationships, and make sure agreements are both practical and appropriately balanced from a risk standpoint.

Location: Hybrid in Scottsdale, AZ, San Antonio, TX, Augusta, GA, Cincinnati, OH, Maryville, TN, or Dallas, TX

What you'll do:

  • Review, draft, and negotiate supplier contracts for materials, services, and equipment.
  • Review contract edits, identify key negotiation points, and develop practical solutions to reach agreement.
  • Draft contract language, redlines, counterproposals, and fallback positions during negotiations.
  • Lead contract discussions with suppliers and work through disagreements to reach acceptable terms.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to determine the right agreement for each purchase.
  • Support supplier onboarding and help maintain positive supplier relationships throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on contract requirements, negotiation strategies, and acceptable levels of risk.
  • Push back on requests or contract terms that do not align with company policies or risk standards, while helping identify workable alternatives.
  • Identify legal, commercial, and compliance risks and recommend solutions.
  • Manage contract escalations and coordinate input from Legal, Procurement, and other business partners as needed.
  • Maintain accurate contract records, negotiation history, and executed agreements in the contract management system.
  • Help improve contract templates, standard terms, and contracting processes to increase efficiency and consistency.

Position Requirements:

  • Must be authorized to work in the US
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, Supply Chain, or related field; or high school diploma/GED combined with relevant professional experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of contract administration experience in a supply chain function.
  • Experience working with procurement, supply chain, legal, or other cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with global vendors or in regulated industries
  • Experience reviewing contractual terms and coordinating internal approvals and escalations

Preferred Characteristics:

  • Previous experience in aviation or aerospace preferred.
  • Experience working in contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems, such as Cobblestone or similar platforms, preferred.
  • Experience supporting government contractor compliance requirements.
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certificated Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) and/or similar certification.
  • Ability to Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance business needs and contractual risk.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable having difficult conversations when contract terms or business requests create unnecessary risk.
