Position Title: Pharmacy Technician

Work Location: Fort Worth TX 76177

Assignment Duration: 4 Months

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 10 to 7pm CST. Training is Monday to Friday 8 to 5pm CST for the first week and 9-6pm the second week. Occasional Saturdays 8 to 5pm CST. Technician must be able to work 11 to 8pm ET / 10 to 7 pm CT every day.

Work Arrangement: Onsite for training 2-3 months, then hybrid (2 days in the office and 3 days remote). Must come on site for training. Candidate should live within a reasonable driving distance of 13501 Park Vista Blvd Fort Worth, TX 76177.

Position Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician provides support to pharmacists in filling prescriptions for patients. This role ensures accurate and timely medication dispensing while maintaining patient confidentiality and satisfaction.

Background & Context: This is a data entry role.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and package medications accurately and efficiently

* Count, pour, weigh, and label medications

* Fill and refill prescriptions according to doctor's orders

* Process insurance claims and collect payment information

* Provide excellent customer service to patients by answering questions and addressing concerns

* Maintain organized records of all prescriptions filled and dispensed

* Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies

* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients

Qualification & Experience:

* High school diploma or equivalent

* At least 2 years of pharmacy technician experience

* Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program approved by the State Board of Pharmacy

* Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred

* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully

* Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office

* Experience in retail or healthcare setting preferred

* Minimum 2 years data entry experience

* Need to be registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy and current PTCB or NHA CPhT license in good standing

* Need good data entry skills | Good attention to detail | Need to be able to come on site daily on time and good attendance

* The Technician must be CPhT and registered with the board of pharmacy

Working Conditions & Physical Demands (If Applicable):

The technician must be able to come on site for training. 2-3 months. then this is a hybrid role. 2 days in the office and 3 days remote.
