Purchasing Agent / Buyer Rockville, MD Pay from : $58,000/yr MUST: Experienced Purchasing Agent/Buyer 4+ years of purchasing experience with Information Technology Accounting background is strongly desired Experience working with government contracts Experience with managing purchase orders Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Strong communication skills both written and verbal High attention to detail Bachelors Degree is required DUTIES: Purchasing agent is responsible for coordinating all activities associated to procurement of materials and supplies Prepare and process purchase orders for supplies and equipment; compliant with government order deadlines Assure the correct material was ordered for the different type of government contracts Complete Tax Exemption Certificates and issue them to multiple vendors Resolve purchase order and invoice differences with suppliers, as to wrong deliveries, payments, invoices, credits, payment terms, and duplicate billings Assist customer service reps track down orders Maintain records of goods/services ordered and received Act as liaison between for the company and their Suppliers/Vendors *Quadrant, Inc. is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
